SpineOut : October - November2016
*BookReviews* October - November 2016 This book is about a 17 year old girl named Snow, who lives in a mental hospital in New York. One night, a mysterious handsome young man named Jagger, leads her to an open door, she knows she has to leave to find her true love, Bale, who got trapped inside a mirror into another world. She finds herself in icy Algid, her true home, filled with witches and thieves; she meets a boy named Kai, who she finds herself liking. Secret after secret is revealed and Snow discovers that her choices of her new life will change everything. Heroine or villain, queen or broken girl, frozen heart or true love, Snow must choose her fate. There were amazing plot twists that leave you stunned and in awe. Stealing Snow was a quick read that was filled with excitement and romance. Stealing Snow Danielle Paige Bloomsbury Zoe, Year 8 Emmanuel College Point Cook Vic What I did like about this book I like how the book has many adjectives to describe the setting. I also like how the characters were bought up into this book, like Snow, I liked how the author described her and how she escaped and how she was related to the surroundings of Algid. What I didn’t like about this book I didn’t really like how the author made Snow be alone at the end of the book, what I mean by this is that she is not with a relationship with Bale or even, the thief Jagger. I would’ve liked if she ended up with Jagger or Kai, but I guess in the next book, she is going to end up with someone. What the author could improve on This is not a request, but a suggestion, I suggest that the author put a pronunciation page because I don’t even know how to pronounce the word ‘Algid’. Before the author creates the next book, I just want the author to consider Snow to find love and settle down with Jagger.
