Some things should be feared, like a lion on the loose in a neighbourhood, as that poses a danger. But if others pose no danger the fear is irrational. If you know someone who has a fear or phobia that restricts their life, then take heart. There are people who can help. Anyone with a fear is not alone... Walt Disney was afraid of mice. Napoleon had ailurophobia, a fear of cats. Sigmund Freud had a morbid fear of ferns. Yes that’s right, ferns!
